Trauma Groups

*Learn more here about Group Therapy and how to get the most of it it.

This group is for all male-identified participants with trauma histories. We welcome the full spectrum of manhood, including straight gay, bi-sexual, queer and trans men.

Trauma impacts us on a physical, social, spiritual, emotional, and cognitive levels. In this group, we will provide a stable, safe, and emotionally nurturing space limited to a small cohort. In addition to psycho-education on trauma and PTSD, we will explore the unique challenges men face both surviving and healing from trauma.

This is an opportunity to experience the healing effects of being in a community and members are invited to share their experiences, give and receive support, discover they are not alone, and learn healthy ways of relating to themselves and connecting to others.

The process of joining group involves two individual meetings. These meetings offer the opportunity to better get to know each other, explore goals and expectations, go over group agreements, anticipate what might be hard for you in the group (and what you, the group, and Adam and I can do to support you), and address questions and/or concerns. It's also a chance to get a sense of what a typical group session is like.

If you're interested in joining , feel free to call (617-863-7606) or email (JocelynEve28@gmail.com) with questions.

Testimonials

Jocelyn is an extremely supportive, dedicated, and consistent leader in the work to uplift trauma survivors. She is a go-to person for healing resources, empowerment, collaboration, energy, and mobilization. Jocelyn models what it means to show up with growth, humility, and truth at the center of her work. As a survivor, and anti-sexual violence movement organizer, I trust Jocelyn to provide her clients, and her community, with the utmost in skillful care. No doubt, Jocelyn will go the extra mile for those she is asked to show up for.

“I write to you with such heartfelt appreciation for yesterday and every time you bring your compassionate facilitating to our Healing Through Creative Arts workshop series.  Once again, people opened up with tender sharing of vulnerable healing paths.  People wrote on the evaluations of the trust and safety they felt in the group and in sharing their writing.  I handed out the fabulous resource list you compiled for us.  People really appreciated it.   You have a gift, Jocelyn, and I feel so grateful that you are sharing it with us. Thank you on behalf of all of us!

“Jocelyn is such a role model and inspiration to me. I wanted to let her know how far I’ve come. I now run a girls sexual abuse group. Jocelyn helped me transform from victim to survivor, and without her, I never could have been as brave.” -Anonymous

Trauma and conflict happen in relationships and healing and connection do too.
