Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
Trained by Psychedelic Therapy Boston, Jocelyn works collaboratively with a prescriber to offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). Jocelyn has also partnered with Sapience Therapy in supporting individuals and groups on ketamine retreats.
Three hour KAP session: $450
This model begins with at least two 1-hour sessions to get to know each other (if you’re a new client) and discuss the specifics of this model and how it may best support you. Every medicine session is ~ three hours. The first 30-45 minutes typically include prep work and vital checks, the next 1.5 hours include dosing and being with the medicine and music, the last 30-45 minutes include processing and vital checks.
For many people, a session will illuminate poignant aspects of your life very quickly— some sessions are exhilarating, some are emotionally and physically difficult, some are soothing, some feel like they lead nowhere. Despite the variability, each session can teach us something about our lives that we can work with to integrate new insights and practices into our lives.
There’s prolific research on Ketamine for mental health. In short, it enhances the growth in the dendrites of the neurons in our brains allowing us to make new neural pathways. Ultimately, this can help us break patterns and cycles that are no longer serving us and keepings us stuck.
KAP can DISRUPT rigid ways of being and facilitate a shift in perspective to enable a deeper connection with oneself and one's inner healing intelligence. It is an adjunctive modality in which ketamine is used as a complement to psychotherapy to help eligible clients experience more frequent breakthroughs and sustain improvement in symptoms from anxiety, depression and PTSD. Eligibility is determined by a medical evaluation with a prescriber, and I will guide you through the process.
